Passive Solar Pop Top II
A deep energy retrofit and addition of second floor to an existing brick ranch located in Boulder, CO. The butterfly roof design allows for great passive solar gain on the south face & large surface area for 10kW PV array. The design includes a large second floor deck and rooftop garden to take advantage of great foothill & flatiron views, as well as provide additional garden space. This house is projected to be net-zero energy.
